RHODIUM ELECTRONICS ASTRO-TONE SILICON 2N3566
ARA67 Rhodium Electronics take on the Astrotone circuit with silicon 2N3566 transistors. Astrotone Sam Ash diagram data from 1967, period correct design and original specification, designed according to perform better with single guitar pickups. Set up with original 2N3566 black top hat silicon transistors.
Please, note this is a vintage circuit that require isolated 9 Volt negative tip PSU. As a vintage circuit, this circuit behaves differently in front of different amplifiers or playing with different guitar pickups. Battery free pedal.

ARA'67 ASTROTONE FUZZ
RHODIUM ELECTRONICS ASTROTONE SILICON 2N3569 ANALOGMAN MOD
ARA67 Rhodium Electronics take on the Astrotone Analogman circuit setting up silicon 2N3569 transistors instead of 2N3566. Astrotone Analogman data from 2010, period correct design and original specification, designed according to perform better with single guitar pickups. Set up with 2N3569 black top hat 1972 silicon transistors.
As per Mike Piera, Analogman version of the Astrotone performs better playing a Gibson Les Paul guitars in front of a Fender Princeton Reverb amplifier. Comparing different types of transistors from same family and their equivalency, our 2N3569 black top hat low gain early 70s transistors give a less muddy sound and more clarity signal and tonality range for the classic rock guitar tones.
